Western Red Cedar for HPV Herbal Treatment

Human Papilloma Virus or that is known as HPV is a virus that infects the epidermis and mucous membranes of humans. It is also known as a sexually transmitted disease that may cause genital warts. This virus is dangerous because if it is not treated it can cause cancers of the anus, vagina, vulva, cervix, and penis. In general, this disease is divided into three types. Types that cause warts, types that cause cancer, and types that are essentially harmless and have no symptoms at all. Actually there are more than 100 different types of HPV but they are simply categories into three mentioned types. The cervical Pap smear can be the only one way to detect cells that potentially develop into cervical cancer. If you suffer from this disease you can take HPV herbal treatment instead of medical treatment especially when you plan to save your money.

Though you can not find treatment for HPV itself, genital warts as the symptoms of HPV can be treated with herbal remedies. HPV does not only cause genital warts in women but in men as well. Western red cedar or Thuja can be used as HPV herbal treatment.

Western Red Cedar (Thuja)
There are two varieties of western red cedar, Thuja occidentalis and Thuja plicata. According to the San Francisco Botanical Medicine Clinic, Thuja has been proven to treat genital warts successfully. For significant results a thuja essential oil should be applied and used regularly for two to three months. Using this thuja essential oil regularly will effectively clear up genital warts. Thuja essential oil can be used to clear external and internal warts.

Application for External Warts
To treat external warts you can combine 20 to 30 drops of the Thuja oil with one ounce of olive oil. Apply the mixture three times a day to the affected area. After symptoms have cleared you should still continue the application at least for two week. You can repeat this treatment periodically for preventive treatment.

Application for Internal Warts

As genital warts can form internally or externally you can do treatment for each type in difference ways. To treat internal warts, combine water with 30 drops of the essential oil and put a tampon in the mixture. When the tampon has absorbed the mixture, then insert it. To prevent bacteria growth you should change the tampon at least two times a day.
